A lot of this information is useful for restoring all sorts of toys and for customizers as well. There are also some really great before and after shots, safety tips, restoration ethics, and disclaimers. Much of the information provided comes from The Definitive Book on the Care and Preservation of Vinyl Dolls and Action Figures by Nicholas J. Hill. Be sure to read the Materials and Directions information before getting started. I've been collecting MLP since 1998, not including my childhood, so this is no small undertaking. I'm hoping this will become a real highlight of my site. I share everything I've learned while fixing up and restoring my collection, from my great successes to stupid mistakes. Thanks Hathorcat ! ​​Updated contact info for repro Surprise Twins babies and added information on fixing blotchy Decorating Starcatcher in the Misc. section. ​​Added a resource for repro princess wands, a link to Hasbro instruction manuals, more sticker printouts, and hear bleaching cream safety tips to the Accessories page. ​​Added a link to a nice re-glittering tutorial in the Symbols section. ​​Several updates to the Hair section including: updated links for tutorials and where to buy replacement hair, added more links to re-pinking tutorials, added another styling tutorial, and updated links for replacement tinsel.​​ Updated links to sunfading tutorials and Peek-A-Boo Baby head removal on the Body page. May 25, 2020 So many updates finished! I had more than a year's worth stored up. I added new info, new photos, and tried to simply the tutorials. I hope you find it helpful! Nov. 5, 2018 I'm doing lots of small updates throughought the site. Just some tips and tricks I've picked up over the last few months. I added links from the Heather Sparkles Youtube channel . She has tons of cute videos about collecting vintage toys and restorations. August 9, 2018 I'm now doing most of my sales via Ebay. It solves a lot of the issues I had with non-paying buyers when I sold independently. You can see what I have under the seller far_dreamer. I have a ton more to add too!
